My dog that would not play LOVES to play with Knotty Paw Squirrel. Several times I squeezed a treat in the toy. Though I have done that with other toys, with Knotty Paws squirrel she chased it cause it looks like a real critter. Now I don't have to add a treat! She loves it!
One of the families that I dog-sit for adopted a dog named Leeland that had previously been abused and was super scared of other people and didn''t interact with my friends much. They invited me over to meet her and help her get used to other people. I brought some dog toys with me, even though my friend said she was never interested in toys or balls. She said the only thing she really got excited about was the squirrels in the yard, so I brought out the Oliver the Squirrel rope toy. She was indifferent at first, but then my friend put a chew stick under the tail and threw him. Leeland went after him and even took him to her crate. My friend was so excited to see her enjoying something and interacting with her and a toy. Leeland likes Oliver so much now, my friend just bought two more!
